Looks a bit like a Jaguar to me.

A white one like that passes me on my bike over the moors every day, just hear Tyre roar really, saw them in California a few years back and thought they look Jag like and the badge this time surprised me as initially looks like an XF , but boy can it go !

  • Yes, I got the Tesla on Chrstmas Eve. As you'd expect (with two children) Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day have been a bit hectic. But at least it's given me chance to put 120 miles on th

I have ticked the box for the AutoPilot features.

I've seen a few more on the road recently. Seem to be a bit of a hit!

We sometimes get 2 parking in the same street along from the school. Rarely, they manage to park together.

There's also a DB9 along there too. :)

Ooh there's a point, if they get too close together do they stick to each other like big magnets? Or doesn't it all work like that?

Fairly sure that the main section of the motors would be of the same polarity, so there'd be more repulsion than attraction.......and that's *if* they were strong enough magnetic fields. I suspect you'd need to be wheel to wheel before anything could happen.

If they stuck to each other, would be an easy way to steal.........just pull-up beside, wait for the "THUNK" and drive off ;) ;)

I wasn't being entirely serious, honest ;) Otherwise the poor bloke in the electric motor shop would spend all his time separating the electric motors on his shelves with a crow bar

As you now officially have the best job in the world, I have unilaterally decided that you need an assistant to ...er...assist. I can make tea, feed the baby Kiwis and take over driving duties when you are tired, or when I managed to pinch the keys and leave you at the petrol station (might not work with a Tesla). You must have finished my room by now?

Putting the price of a Tesla in a bit more context, apparently the battery pack in a McLaren P1 costs US$50_000 to replace if it gets completely discharged. That's what, about half the total price of a Tesla?

Tesla Model S autopilot on UK roads.

Published yesterday.

The bit I don't get though, is when the chap says you can relax and you will be fresher for the twisty/town bit. This might be true, but if I relax on the motorway I fall asleep! Driving through the night after some pretty long days, I find the best way to stay awake and alert is to pick up speed and so my concentration goes up and I pull myself out of the torpor I was falling into. I like the idea of autonomous driving , but it needs to 100% auto for me. Don't know if I would ever trust it totally

There's a dark blue Tesla in our Visitor's car park.

Looks a lot better than the normal white one that I see.

looks really promising, I quite like the idea, I understand it also communicates live with other teslas. I hate driving on motorways, and I would enjoy using this system, it would reduce stress levels etc.

Probably the same colour I've ordered.

I like the burgundy colour they do

I saw one of these for the first time this week - a P85D in white. I hadn't appreciated quite how big they are, but a great looking car none the less. Very quick & smooth off the line at traffic lights, as I was behind it at that point. I want that running gear in my Yeti :)

and I've just seen another one this morning, with a TE15LAR number plate - you beat them on that one Richard :)

A couple of minutes later an i8 drove past - EVs are obviously getting popular.

TE05LAS is one of three local to me.
