Need information about engine 1.6

Featured Replies

Hello everyone

I have a car felicia1.3 and I need to change the motor from 1.3 to 1.6 and have no knowledge of the requirements for that I need information on things to be changed with the change of the motor and whether 1.6 is suitable for motor chassis of the vehicle or there is no point in changing the motor

Thank you

I would sell the car and buy a Felicia 1.6. Less money, less work, factory made.

Sorry We do not have cars Felicia-engine 1.6 All cars in my engine 1.3

its hard work for you then as you need a 1.6 felicia to do it on your car

I will do that because I am in need of a car engine 1.6, which is available in our cars with the engine 1.3 but will be imported 1.6 and engine do I switch the engine from 1.3 to 1.6

I know that the rules of motor compatible as well as other things but I want to know the car chassis with scalability to carry Motor 1.6

Excuse me if some of the terminology is understandable I am I do not know a lot of engineering terminology

If you search for

engine swap

in this forum you'll find many threads, and some of those might give some clues about what you want to do.

By doing this I found a couple of threads that might give you some initial ideas.

I know that the two engines are completely different internally, so I'd expect you'll need the ecu from the donor car and a fair amount of the wiring loom.

Another search about the front suspension suggests that the same shock absorber is used for all petrol models but the springs are different for the 1.6, so you might want to look into this as well.

hi there the 1.6 bolts in to the 1.3 only thing i found is i was missing 2 captive nuts on chassis leg... engine still in there not fallen out yet... 2 MOTSs two as for suspension i am still useing 1.3 springs shocks just lowers car a bit with 1.6 in it. breaks are the same (crap with 1.3 even bad with 1.6) the 1.6 will have a anti roll bar fitted choice is yours if you swap and if your converting to power sterring you will need the coulmom rack pipes the engine loom plugs in on them both you will need to move fan wires over and oil pressior switch wire is in engine loom on 1.6 i just moved the 1.3 one to engine this conversion can be done in a weekend out and in running you will need to swap immobilser box's too this was harder for me as donner car had air con but all fitted and running good exaust is the same from center box only front pipes diffrent

i would just get a 1.6 than do all above i mite off missed some things
