Octavia MK2 boot lights stopped working

Featured Replies

Hi All

I have a weird issue where my boot lights have suddenly stopped working when In open the boot , I have checked the bulbs and have checked all the fuses that the manual refers to as for lighting and all seems ok.

Any ideas where I should look next? is there a switch that should realease when the boot opens that could be stuck?

Cheers

Dave

+1 as Mike says, check alarm LED, also is your rear wiper working?

Hi both thanks for the replies, everything else works fine and I have no boot open warning light. It's really strange they were working yesterday night but opened the boot his morning and they are both out. And now I've gone and broken one of clear bulb holders being heavy handed with it :(

I have seen a couple of boot laches on the bay of E so might head down that route.

Thanks guys

Dave

I have to say im dead against throwing parts at a car and hoping for the best, it can end up being a very expensive habbit Diagnostic is the key word Dave and the best diagnostic tool you have is the one between your ears. Best of luck..
