Cheap place in north east to spray standard VRS 16" wheels?

Featured Replies

Alright lads, as title can anyone suggest anyone cheap?!

Cheers

Not too sure on prices but give Betta blast a try, they've been brilliant for everything I have used them for.... They get pretty sick contracts for deep sea stuff, the 'Bluebird' bla bla bla

Try Tony at Westerhope The Wheel Specialist. Brilliant service and can colour your wheels to whatever colour you want.

Ive just had a set of 4 octavia spiders done at CAS coatings in Bradford. Im VERY impressed with the finish. Cost me £68 for all of them in standard silver.

Thanks guys.

I'm no where near bradford though!

I have a mate of mine who's just had some alloys sprayed by a company called Romax, based in Stockton, he seemed pretty happy with them. SEM alloys have a decent reputation too.

£68 for powder coating? That's cheap!

they didn't refurb them though right? ie kerb marks? If they did then deal of the century.

Had 5 16" spiders done at cas too, shot blast and coat, didn't have much damage but all gone now, like new.

I went for lacquered option!

Very impressed!

hbrc in hetton bud he painted mine and hes a top class bloke

Cheers lad

Aj, if your wheels aint in bad nick i got mine done at a place in Flimby. All 4 done gloss black for £150. He just rubs them down though. Really good lad, if youre over my way again give me a shout and ill put you in contact with him

FOR £150 hbrc will refurb and repaint

Where are you in the North East?

If near Middlesbrough, then I'd reconmend Romax on Portrack line in Stockton. I've also seen good results from PPC in Hartlepool. I think the member I spoke to (Furn) said it was £200 for 4 wheels to be done on his Octy. Have a looks at his pics on his post here: http://www.vagcars.c...?t=11429&page=2

check my wheels buddy simplesss lol

+1 for Tony at westerhope, the wheel specialist. I've used him loads an know him very very well. Also helps my brother in law works for him and does the spraying :p

He's got great contracts and does celebrities wheels on rang rovers and other top class sports cars.

He's actually just put some videos on Facebook of him straighing out a really badly damaged Audi rs4 alloy.

+1 for romax, ive heard they do a good job too. not had any first hand experience tho.

Can i just add to this.its ok getting a spray tan on your wheels but as we all know VAG alloys corrode like there is no tomorrow so tyre pressure loss can be a real pain so as Tony does is the way to do them properly. Tyres removed, acid dipped and cleaned to remove all nasties inside and out then powder coated and tyres refitted and balanced. No more problems job done.

as above it depends on price your willing to spend im assuming standard wheels not a lot?

laldog i got a set painted aswell as others from the same bloke whos done my fabia ones and a set are still on the car i sold and still perfect after 4 year nearly..

but agreed dipping powder coating is best but costs money so a refurb and repaint is good enough you cant go wrong with HBRC ]

theres always somthing better but theres a price to pay for that

Whereabouts is HBRC? Yell.com puts the postcode in Murton but their address is Seaham?

I would have replied ROMAX/SEM who will offer a drive in/drive out service but they're not what i'd call cheap. They're show quality but (and I can't remember which one) one of them won't coat the rear face fully, the other will. They aren't exactly the cheapest going but the quality is spot on.

Dropped into ROMAX today after my local tyre fitter chipped one of my wheels :@. They have offered to pay for a full refurb  and told me to visit ROMAX.

Prices as follows: 17" £49, 18" £53, 19" £60, 20" £72 including VAT

Will let you know the result Wednesday next week.

where abouts are you in the north east buddy?

I've just got a price for a full refurb of my 17's from Bettablast - loose wheels without tyres - £192 inc. VAT.

I've seen their work before and its spot on.

When getting prices make sure VAT is included!
