Really Daft Q - Eject CD Without HeadUnit In Car?

Featured Replies

As daft as it sounds really... fitted my Bolero tonight and only when I'd finished did I realise I'd left a CD in the old Stream HU :wall:

So, I know on some hifis etc theres a way to stick a pin in a hole to eject the CD without power - anyone have any idea if there is something similar with the Stream? Theres nothing obvious!

I did exactly the same thing when I swapped out my factory stereo -I refitted it to eject the CD. Well I had to take the new one out and just plugged the cable in to the back of the old one and held it while I ejected the CD

I've been able to eject CD's by powering up a headunit with a small 12v battery and a battery charger.

It worked at the time, but since I've been very careful about removing CD's first.
