Problem with headlamp and washer

Featured Replies

A few months ago I hit a bird which not only broke the chrome cover of the lamp washer but broke the headlamp unit off its mounts and it was just floping about in the opening. I must say I was dissapointed that it broke so easily, I was going about 30 - 40km/h and the bird was only the size of a sparrow.

After several visits to the dealership they replaced the light mounts and fixed it back in place but not exactly where it was, it is still slightly off but the lights are focused. After the third trip they told me that the chrome plate for the washer cannot be fitted back as the washer itself is damaged and the plate cannot be fixed to it. I'm a bit ****ed off due to the amount of trips to the dealership only to find out I cant get my car back to the origional look, its still less than a year old.

Has anyone any experience with the washers and the chrome plates? I will try get pictures of it later and show you the condition its in.

If the car was in an accident they would be able to get it back to original condition. !!You may have to replace the washer jet . Who is the dealer, they don't seem to be too interested in fixing what seems to be a small problem, all be it that it may cost a few quid.
