Psssst. Keep quiet, and DON'T tell that narky lot over there on the Octavia 2 board or they'll be in here hollering for my head...again :D .... BUT, after 2 months of owning an Octy vRS CR170 estate with all the fancy bells and whistles, I still prefer the Fabia....by quite a long way too.

Why?

Beacause of it's simplicity, nimbleness, and general superior driveabilty, that's why, and if that crowd over there don't like that, tough!

I wouldn't worry what people think. I has Fabia and although I like it, it's nowhere near as much fun to drive as my 1996 Rover 214. I feel so much more connected with it and it can keep up with most things through the twisties :D

Don't get me wrrong now....as some of that lot over there obviously did, I do like it, but it just doesn't put the smile on my face that the Fabia still does after 6 years, which I find almost unbelievable tbh.

Can't see me keeping the Octy that long tbh, whereas the Fabia.................

If it was worth the same, then yes, i possibly would!!

Been said a thousand times in here by many. WHY didn't they ever produce an estate version in the first place?

Madness in the extreme.

Mine too is a "vrs" estate in special "vrs" elegance trim! :bandit:

On a serious note, I do know what you mean. I had a 2006 Seat Ibiza FR (Fabia vRS 1.9TDI PD130) for a hire car a good few years ago and it was really fantastic to drive......so much so that I couldn't stop driving it like I'd stole it!

Although mine started out as a elegance pd100 estate..

...it is now specced higher than a vrs..with vrs or better upgrades on pretty much everything.. 130 asz engine.. hybrid garrett turbo.. vrs bumpers.. seats etc.. 312 + 256 brakes.. fmic and alot more styling wise..
