Vauxhall Astra Coupe

What's the stat's on the little griffin's coupe?

Not sure what specs you need...

But performance wise, I'm pretty sure they're either powered by a 150 bhp 2.2 litre engine or a 2.0 Turbo producing 200 bhp. The latter is a very quick car, 0-60 in about 6.8 seconds or thereabouts.

Not that quick....... ;)

I've got a test drive in one booked for next week. I love my Octavia vRS but it's done 60,000 miles in 2 years and I'm thinking about replacing it. The new Octavia just isn't doing it for me, plus I reckon the new Octavia vRS will be the wrong side of

it won't be great 'cos its a vauxhall :)

I agree, I driven many vauxhalls, (latest was my friends ex-police V6 omega..) and they have all been awfull...... let us know what you think of the drive ......

My brother had the Astra Coupe - special edition with blue alcantara/black leather seats.

Very nice, comfortable car. Reasonably quick too. Just a shame its pretty much standard Astra inside though.

I agree the new sports hatch looks the business though :D

(possibly) better resale values

doubt the vauxhall will hold its value!

Remember too the awful customer service side of things - my Corsa was fine let down by the servicing side of things. If you are going to go non-franchised for servicing it might not be such a worry. My experience of 4 different Vauxhall dealers backs this up!!!

The Vauxhall Coupe does look quite nice though - although when I see one (and all the new Astras) it looks like the bonnet is open slightly!!! :)

Well, had the test drive today, fairly disappointing. It is a really nice car and the handling is excellent, but it just hasn't got enough oomph ! It's quick enough up to 40 mph and then it's a long wait for 80 to come along ! There are more powerful engines available but at

the new astra turbo is either 170bhp, 200bhp or 240bhp.

normal astra caught in a strong wind really :o
