Some parts arrived today which were very quick to fit so I took some pics as well

I used to have a Digital clock/temp/batt gauge mounted on my dash



But having installed my android pod, I had to remove it.


But I missed the gauge as the Torque app does not display temp or volts so after a bit of trimming down I mounted the gauge above the rear view mirror.


But as you can see now that I have started using the sun visor they block my view of the gauge.
Was not a problem over the winter months, but it is now becoming issue.
So after a bit of searching I purchased some Audi S3 visors which looked as if they would fit.
Straight swap, over all fittings matched.



It was a job lot which also included the grab handles as well but they were a bit bigger, but had the slow return mechanism in them.


They needed to be stripped down to swap the required part over. First I drilled a 3mm hole in the grab handle to be able to drift the pin out. I used a small cut down nail to do this.


I used a mole grips to force the pin out.


Finished pulling the pin out with a pliers.


The grab handle separated.


The only bit you need is this.


The Fabia grab handle is dissembled the same way and the white barrel swapped into the Fabia grab handle housing.
Make sure to install the barrel the same way as it came out.


Push the pin back in and job done.

You now have a slow return grab handle for your Fabia.

Not my idea Matt, copied from some other member. But should stop my daughter flicking the grab handle when she's in the back lol.

BTW also did this over the weekend and took some photos tonight but did not photograph as good as I would have liked !!
