Just fitted my R32 Steering Wheel today
Looks good and feels great



One problem though the gap



Horn works, no vibration or loosenes but there is a gap between the airbag and the base of the steering wheel plastic

Anyone any ideas

How much did u pay for the wheel?

Probably a slight difference in airbag shape if that's the Fabia airbag on there.

Not cheap at £240 second hand but I kid you not they are like New not a mark on them !!. Been searching for ages for a nice one and this one was local so I could see it before I bought it.

Thanks for the advice Tech1e, but it seems as if the airbage locating pins are too long because if I push the airbage into the wheel it lines up exactly

Bought them off Ebay secondhand but I'm sure they are also on Ebay new as well

Solved the airbag problem. To get the airbag to fit correctly I needed to swap over the airbag mounting plate from the old streering wheel, they might look the same but the one off the R32 wheel is 3mm shorter.

Quite easy took about 20 mins taking my time. If you do manage to find one let me know and I will give you the details of how change the wheels over.

Your picture has got me thinking.

You know the little .:R at the bottom.. does it come off?

If you had a mate with a CNC kinda machine thingy.. could they make a replacement badge based on the vRS badge you have in the middle, in Alu or steal, with sunken parts for the bars that you could fill in with paint... but with out the fat bit of the V? If ya see what i mean? Then ya could put a skoda badge back on the wheel and a cute lil Vrs inspierd badge at the bottom.

Kinda like this.. with out the white gaps and the right thicknesses etc etc..
