Nav Ready Double DINs

Featured Replies

I'd like to remove my Skoda auto casette head unit and CD changer for a double DIN head unit with sat nav included. Being no car stereo genius would I be right to assume that getting the built in Nav to work would take more than just a standard aerial connection? Would I need an additional GPS aerial or something?

I've found quite a reasonably priced Kenwood unit but if there is additional cost of other installation to get teh nav side of it working I may just go single DIN with BT for my iPhone.

Some nav ready units require you to buy an adapter type thing that's nearly the same price as buying the headunit just watch out as I was nearly caught out lol

which did you go for?

Just realised the one I've been looking at required the iPhone garmin app which kinda sucks. Ideally I'd like to have a nav that I can use in the UK and Europe which isn't really practical with my German iPhone, data charges are pretty steep once you cross the border!

Form where in Somerset do you hail? From Yeovil myself.

Bridgwater my friend :-) just bought a 2nd hand kenwood headunit as I like the Garmin satnav

How much did you want to spend can narrow it down abit?

Ah bridgy eh. Used to love the palace a few years back lol

Was hoping to get something for up to 400 euros. (360 quid) but realise I might be dreaming.

"The Palace" lmao your feet still stick to the carpet nowadays lol.

2nd hand unit for that price mate.

I just bought a Kenwood DNX5220BT for £200 i know it is abit old but can be updated :)

I think its a great bit of kit :)

Found one on eBay but won't be getting this one. Beyonce and Robbin Williams tickets formthe mrs took precedence on our credit card this month. Much to my disgust!
