Insurance?

Featured Replies

There was me thinking that insurance was going up at an alarming rate. Just did a quick check, usually pay about 450 per year for my 10 plate octy petrol vrs, 34 years old 10 years no claims.

New quote comes in at 235 quid-haha very happy!! Just to rub it in to all my 21 year old work mates who are paying a few grand for a car with an engine the size of a lawn mower! The joys of being ( in their eyes ) old!!

I know the feeling, but I dream of the day when insurance is around the £200 mark!

While still expensive compared to most, my 330d is coming in at around £550-£600 for the renewal. Not bad for a just turned 22 year old IMO!

That's not bad at all for a 330 with your age. I'd be pretty happy with that.

I turned 20 in January and got this years insurance on my mk2 Fabia vrs for £530 all in - was pretty pleased with that!

What is going on with these prices? Not that I'm complaining, when I started driving at the tender age of 19 mine was 900 quid.... On a y reg mk 1 fiesta 1.1 bag of crap held together with gaffer tape. Oh and that was 3rd party only!!

Postcode people, postcode.

I'm 32, clean license, no accidents, 6 yrs NCD, IAM. My 15k miles a year policy is around £500. Running the quote again at a friends address in a different part of the country almost halved this.

That's very reasonable. I paid about 200 quid this year for my very sensible Bravo

For the first time ever this year my insurance was less than my road tax.

I've just renewed my insurance, i changed companies as well, the one i was with wanted to charge me more for my octavia vrs diesel than they did for my VXR8, i told them they were having a laugh and i wouldn't be staying with them.

Also said i would pay more for parking on my drive, than in the street, because the car thief knows where the car lives then

Blimey, that username is a blast from the past!

How's it going Carl?

My renewal this year is about £12 less than last year but had a quote on a compare site that is £150 less at £207, so I'll be switching.
