Prosport coilovers, my two cents

Featured Replies

Thanks for the reply mate. I just wasn't sure if the metal bit beside the bush should fit into the hole rather that sit on the hole. Does that make sense? lol.

It does make sense and no that metal bit should not go inside but tighten up on the side you see it on.

The reason there is no fitment issues is because the op doesn't have a vrs. So no front anti roll bar issues.

So just to make people aware that have not seen all the other posts

  • The OP does have a VRS , The OP also has used the Merc vito drop links coz of the ARB bracket issue that is now well documented.need to read the post better buddy...

  • Sheet! I don't have a vrs! All the lies I've told about owning one! I am fraud!

Thanks mate. I just wasn't 100% sure.

Sorry I can't fulfill my promise with pics as I forgot the camera :( Apologies Phil

The back is about half way up the thread and the front is 23 threads from the bottom. Keep an eye on my project thread for more pics soon.

Any pics from other angles? Looks like a similar (practical) height that I'm looking for :)

Will get some after a wash mate

Hi guys, could be a stupid question but I've fitted my coilovers today.

I need to adjust the fronts to be 10mm (give or take) lower, if I drop the platforms by 10mm, will this lower the front by that much, or is that not the case?

Cheers :)

In theory yes....but not always as when you lower the car the spring become tighter wound and therefore need to give more support so may result in less than 10mm or sometimes more. But no reason why you should not start with it expecting to be 10mm

Whenever I put coils on a car I'd basically deck it then wind it up after. Is much easier than just messing with the height twelve thousand times. Could measure the amount up after then.

All done and adjusted now. Rear N/S needs to come up a scratch as its a couple of mm lower than the O/S. Also ordering spacers this weekend for the front, washed the wheels before and saw a tiny bit of rubber on the inside of the dish. Rather play it safe :)
