The reason there is no fitment issues is because the op doesn't have a vrs. So no front anti roll bar issues.

So just to make people aware that have not seen all the other posts

  • The OP does have a VRS , The OP also has used the Merc vito drop links coz of the ARB bracket issue that is now well documented.need to read the post better buddy...

  • Sheet! I don't have a vrs! All the lies I've told about owning one! I am fraud!

apparently, with some selotape, and a ball of wool, and a piece of ply, these fit just great and handle really well with the wool bump stop

So where does the yoghurt pot and cardboard tube from a toilet roll come into it?

Looks really good man, I'm considering coilovers for my vrs too as I wanted lowering springs but they wont lower the car enough to my tastes! I'm after cheap - but good quality coilovers as I want the looks more than performance.. I don't take my car to tracks or anything like that, I only drive straight roads on a day to day basis so there's no point spending stupid money on something I wont take advantage of..

How are they after a couple of weeks of driving? :)

They are still fantastic! No issues except for scrubbing (due to rear being spaced to wide) I would still recommend them to anyone wanting cheap lows.

looks mint dude nice height and liking the black rims

People have a tendency of automatically slating cheaper items (usually because they have the more expensive/superior items) but I've found there are some epic bargains out there - depending on what you want from them...

I have the JOM REDLINE coilovers on mine from DPM and they are extremely good for what I wanted and have done a few trips to the Nurburgring as well as other local track days and plenty of A and B road action. Combined with new top mounts, bushes and rear anti roll bar they are more than adequate and cost little over £300 at the time.

i got h and r and eibach as my first vrs lol only intended on cheap but if i'd known coil overs on one of these could be soooo cheap i'd have put a set on

hi all im considering these coilovers so if i get these ill need merc vito droplinks???? how low is that vrs mate looking good

I did it on threads. So from the bottom thread it is 2.5cm

Is anyone running this kit with 18's on ? I've got them fitted to mine and I'm gettin scrubbage at the back and they are 2-3thread off the top ! It's not a problem was just wondering if anyone ha any pointers to getting round it . Plus they do seen to loosen up abit after 500mile or so but still very happy with them !

Mine have arrived from DPM this morning :)

the ride is good if u dont have them low mine are almost on the top thread and is the only way i find the ride acceptable go to low and find your teeth falling out over every pot hole apart from that they arent bad for the money :D

I bought them to have at a relatively standard ride height, no going low here :)

Am I right in thinking that the lower the car, the bigger the gaps between coils, therefore a bouncier ride, whereas if the springs are all the way to the top the coils are more compressed, therefore a harsher ride??

Certainly seems that way on my JOM Redlines

Bouncier with the car lower as the shock travel is less meaning the coils are closer can't do their job of absorbing the bumps to their full potential IMO

no, the lower the car, the closer the coils are as they are being compressed. The bouncy ride is not normally found on coil overs but std springs that are worn and have no rigidness control or a wrong set of springs fitted that are not set for correct poundage to the car.

The issues found with coiiovers is not bouncy to an extent but a crashing caused by lack of damping. This can happen when the shock absorber in the coilover strut can not deal with the rebound because of being lowered beyond it's threshold The shock is compressed and it takes a lot of force to create the rebound to prevent strut/car crashing. The cheaper coilovers have a lower threshold than something like KW or more quality kit. Most folks if keeping car near std height and just using the cheaper coilover as a replacement suspension will probably see no issues at all.

Any more pics DBP?

Looks really well and it's actually pretty low. I'm extremely close to ordering a set.

How much higher could you wind it up if you wanted to? Still happy with them? I'm just scared of them being a bit bouncy.

Ordered lol

My coilovers arrived today as well as my Vito drop links. But have I ordered the wrong ones? They dont seem to fit through the hole right on the coilover, so just wanted to check with fellow prosport owners. They are 250mm in length. Any help appreciated.

What is wrong with them?. They fit through the hole. They are thinner than the actual coil over hole, but when tightened up will cause no issues.

Thanks for the reply mate. I just wasn't sure if the metal bit beside the bush should fit into the hole rather that sit on the hole. Does that make sense? lol.
