Hi

We have a 2003 1.9Tdi Octavia Elegance estate. All works fine with the central locking on the car doors except that the boot doesn't lock. Does anyone have any hints or tips please about what might be causing this and/or how to fix? I've looked through alot of the pages here and have seen a number of posts about door lock problems but nothing specifically about the boot lock.

Does the boot lock if you use the key in the lock?

Does the boot unlock from the central locking? Either a wiring fault or a faulty solenoid I would imagine (not 100% familiar with the tailgate locks, but I I know it has been covered on here before)

I no longer ask the skoda dealer i go to about things that don't lock.

So the boot  closes and clicks but someone has discovered that if you stand behind it will open. If someone knows a way to prevent this I would be most pleased, thanku !
