coolant drain valve

Featured Replies

Hi all, I'm changing my radiator this weekend and having looked at the bottom hose connection with the drain on i think i need a new one as someone in the past has smothered it in some sort of sealant prob coz it leaked!

Does anyone know if i can buy just the plastic part with the drain on it or do i have to buy the bottom hose too? and where will i get one from please?

Cheers,

Wayne.

When I want part info and a price the first place I usually start is the dealers parts desk, from that I can work out if it's available separately and if it's even worth my time to go to TPS or my local factor.

Waynetta, if you register (free) on vagcat.com you can look up stuff like this yourself.

It looks like it is a separate part, number 6Q0 122 291F, here's a cheap one: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GOLF-4-BEETLE-POLO-AUDI-A3-BOTTOM-RAD-HOSE-CONNECTOR-/270755355572?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3f0a46dbb4

I can't comment on the quality of the one in that listing. Dealer may not be scarily expensive for the genuine article.
