Shark STS Unit

Featured Replies

Unfortunetely due to a few mechnical issues with the Fab i'm putting the remapping plans on hold for a while.

So I am selling the Shark STS unit i bought a few weeks back on here. These are £150 from Shark.

It is currently set for Skoda but that can be altered by downloading Xconsole (the program needed to download and upload Shark maps to the device from the PC, as found on the Shark website) to easily change it to what ever vehicle you have.

How much would the MAP cost on top of this?

I think last time I got a quote from Shark it was £250 for the mk1 fabia vrs.

Was the vehicle it came from restored back to the factory map before you bought it?

If not, this is essentially useless.

I will buy at asking so long as the vehicle it has been used on has been returned to standard

Yes I believe so, the previous owner told me he had restored his vehicle to standard as he was selling it.

I've only used it for diagnostics so far on my car but it let me select a new model without any issues, I don't see why it wouldn't let you map a different car.

Happy to refund the money in return for the device back if this isn't the case though.

PM'd

Just to confirm that I was the original owner of the STS unit and sold it to Walejase. The car I used it on was put back to the standard map, so this will work fine on any car

Hes a freedom Member so i doubt you will have problems although it does seam like a while since posting ' sold! 'although i don't know the specifics. How did you pay if its through paypal then you can always reverse the payment if you don't recieve it. Its probably just a mixup these things happen maybe his internets gone off. I was thinking of buying it myslef although shark are only round the corner from me so i think i will go direct even though it costs a bit more.

Do keep us informed, but we can't actually do anything about any issues relating to purchases done through this site.

Got this Today on Special delivery so thanks to Jason for posting it out

Devon I understand you cannot not physicaly do anything to get someones money back but (this issue aside, just generally with a for sale problem) You cannot tell me you woulnd't ban someone for defrauding others on here? Or would you just allow them to continue selling items to people? (Again this is not aimed at you Jason Im just questionning Devon on the rules)

As the item has now been received, closing now to stop other non freedom members attempting to sell theirs on the back of this thread.
