Hands Free

Hi there, I recently bought a new 62 plate octavia elegance, its got the standard bolero head unit, I dont have the multi functional steering wheel.

The question is can I still get a genuine skoda in car handsfree kit fitted? I already have a parrot kit I could put in but would rather go with one that will interface with the touch screen, the garage dont seem to be clued up (AT ALL!) and are trying to sell me a £300 nokia unit...

Any advice or experience with any other types would be greatfully recieved.

Nick

I just use my Garmin GPS as a handsfree kit works quite well, or just get a relatively cheap bluetooth earpiece to do the job. OEM solutions are always expensive and cannot be transferred when you change car.

see here http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/267692-fitting-bluetooth-quadlock-behind-the-head-unit-on-vrs/ for a start

then search.

There are a number of threads on here about fitting oem units. I put one in my 2011 vrs, cost about £250 in all, but i think they seem to have got cheaper recently
