Jct 600 hull stay away

Featured Replies

Hi I recantly brought a ford festia from jct 600 hull I have only had the car 6 week and the car has been in at there garage for two week of them 6.

But now basicly they are refusing to fix the problum with the car saying it not under there warranty they give but the car is only 4 weeks old and I payed 7k for the car I know it's not brand new but surely they should fix the problums with the car with it being so new to me and them haveing it for quite a time already.

I have never spoke to someone so pig headed as the site manager at jct 600 hull he has spoke down to me all the time tryed to intimidate me and swore at me. This has made me so angry and upset that someone can speak to u like that when they sold you the faulty product.

I have put in a formal complaint to jct about the hole matter and about the manager basicly this I one big rant lol.

But would advise everyone to stay away from jct600 hull becasue they have no intreast in customer after care. This is by far the worst expectancies I have ever had when buying a car bearing in mind this is my tenth car I have brought from dealers but not one of them has been as bad as these am in the process of rejecting the car now and I will never be useing jct 600 Again.

Sorry rant over had to get it out thy have upset me that much basicly I'd advice everyone not to use this dealer

Ok. Slow down...

You have bought a car that you have only had 6 weeks. In those 6 weeks it has been with them for 2 of them correct?

By law you are covered under the sale of goods act and regardless of whether it is new or used you have some rights.

Firstly, did you buy the car outright or on finance?

Secondly what is the fault you have?

It's got an irratic down rev. For one

The seat belt warning stays lit and constantly beeps so its very annoying

I found it has had an accident on the NSR of the car and the paint finish is very very poor my seven year old daughter could do better

Jct 600 has refused to fix the seat belt warning and poor paint work plus say there's no irratic tick over. When there is

Plus also took it in for a fault of knocking when turning write which they said its the drive shaft boots catching so they have oiled up the area Lmao what a bodge just oiling up so it stops the nosie not actully fixing the fault and replacing the boots.

Am a machanic my slef so I know what's what lol.

So there's part of the reasons why am rejecting it plus the reasons it's been in 3 times within 6 weeks so I have no faith in the car.

It was brought on finance so am not willing to pay for a car which is faulty.

Firstly then you need to contact your finance company. They own the car and as such they will fix the issues on your behalf. They will fight with the dealer. Put it in writing. They have a legal obligation to sort the issues. Especially as you have only had the car 7 weeks.

Best of luck sorting this issue out but may I ask why you bought such a rouge car especially as your a mechanic who should be able to spot a lemon at 50 yards. I presume you took it for a good test drive?

How old is the car?

You say it's "four weeks old" but I'm assuming this isn't a brand new Fiesta?

It's a 58 plate with 38000 miles on the clock

Your only recourse appears to be going down the legal route.

Write to them, by Recorded Delivery, saying that you wish to reject the car and that you expect them to return all your monies within 21 days or you will issue a Small Claims Court summons to them.

Yes as others have said, write to them.. If you have the car on finance, contact them to.. As under the consumer credit act they are also a "Party" to the contract.

It gets so annoying with a lot of big companies these days, more and more seem to be trying it on and treating consumers badly. Spending 7,000 on a car, it is unreasonable in my eyes for it to have any faults in the first 6 weeks and if it does they should rectify them with as little inconvenience to you as possible.

You can also say to them, you bought from a dealer, over private sale for the piece of mind.. They are a large organisation, you know you get warranty etc, so you trusted them with your money. This why people pay more than they do private sale, you do not want to be ripped off!!

I am also based in Hull.. but never had a dealing with JCT600

What Graham said. No messing about and get it done. Can't stand car sales places trying it on.

These guys (JCT600) have just taken over my (fairly) local VW and Audi dealership - Gilders.
