When/if they do the silver/clear ones I'll be seriously looking at them to go on my silver Octy. Would have looked at black Dectanes for the front, if the grille hadn't been smashed and replaced with a silver one.

The Chinese Octavia is very different from the rest of world production, and as such is made in China and not EU. The software in the ECU is setup for LED lighting, and there are other differences as well.

IIRC (and I think Brimma will soon correct me if I'm wrong) but the Dectanes have LED indicators as well as stop/tail/fog, and that the only filament was the reverse light.

The LED lights on the Chinese market are an option not std.

I did receive and email back from dectane with a part number an was advised they will begin to sell them in te next two months. Only time will tell if this actually happens. I hope it does because I'm sure they would be in high demand. I have the contact details for kristoph who works for dectane he often emails with details if the hatchback designs.

I'm not sure to be honest. Some mention sedan style which could be the hatchback whilst others say kombi which I assume is the estate. Good find that.

Looking at the pictures, the reverse light housing appears bigger/better than the OE. What's it like in real life? Is there a better spread of light?

I've not really noticed as I don't reverse in the dark very often

cristal ones with led reverse light.

It was the crystal ones I was looking at and almost ordered - until I saw they were for the estate only

Will be interested to see the ones for the hatch.
