SCAMMER ALERT!

Featured Replies

Doubt it. You are probably one of the few who had the balls to stand up to him. Some would have just taken it on the chin. I wouldn't have been able to. Best way as others have said is Paypal. I do use the Gift feature even though it's not protected but only with people here I've actually met. Boils my p155 when people do this. I can't remember anything like this happening on here before so it seems the scum has found us.

I don't know if it is because I am really grumpy at the moment (man flu for the past two weeks!), but I reckon people like this should be "taken out" if you get my drift. They spend all their lives ri

I remember reading about this guy on Cupranet way back when.

Unfortunatly there is always a select few who are out there to spoil it for the rest of us. Not just on these forums but all over the internet.

Scammers on forums have been a problem since forum trading first started. Its something that can never really be properly controlled. Really only the buyer can exercise caution to keep themselves safe. Paying by secure methods is a good start too.

The OP has been really lucky here and has got all of the money back. I dread to think how many poor people this chap has conned in total though.

A very satisfying result im sure for you  .

To be honest I didnt think he would return it as it appears its not his first scam and

I suspect wont be his last unless he is put in the loving care of HMG for a while.

There's some beautiful marks on his arm too... what does that tell ya... ;)

It tells me it ain't gonna be his last scam, for sure!

I'm beginning to wonder whether this shouldn't be pinned. On several of the subforums, in fact. Including the for sale section.

I can't believe how calm you were about this, if it had happened to me if of been round his house taking what I felt covered the £180, fuel money and the inconvenience out of his house. I was at least expecting someone who rips people off like this to be able to handle the self, I dare say just one right hook would do it! I know people will say this isn't the done thing but not a chance would I let someone do this to me

He would snap!

Chav!
