Hi all!

Just joined the forum today. Currently waiting on delivery of a an octavia vrs estate diesel manual in rcae blue with alcantara pack/reversing sensors/spare wheel/boot floor as options. Should have my car in a couple of weeks.

It was the blackline that got me thinking of getting a vrs but after chatting to about 5 dealers none were able to secure me one in a colour other than white. I did get swayed by a deal on a normal vrs though.

My last car was a RR evoque which i sold yesterday after owning exactly a year. I decided to sell up now, buy a cheaper car and pay a chunk off the mortgage. The evoque was great but by selling when residuals are still great I got 90% back after a year and this was selling to a dealer!

Im looking forward to the more sporty drive of the vrs and also my bank manager will thank me as my mortgage is now £40 a month less for the next 25 years, I should get an extra 7-10mpg and I wont have RR service prices for the next three years!

The evoque was a departure for me as im usually a hot hatch type of person having previously owned 2 civic type r's, a scirocco, a mini cooper, a mgtf, 2 mx5's, a vx220, a saxo vtr and a snotter ford modeo. Hopefully the vrs will give me a bit of fun and still have the practicality for the dogs and our bikes etc.
