Anyone no if the clocks from an audi s3 fit into Octavia? Been looking on eBay they look same and they have screen in middle

I got lcr dials into an octy dash not that that's any help lol

They might look the same but Audi as I have found out tend to use newer technology in their cars before the rest of VAG, so the immo version in the S3 cluster may well be a different incompatible one to the Octavia. Not sure the display will show anything either since it may well be canbus operated which the Octavia does not have.

Same reason I cannot fix the cluster on my 2001 Audi without going to an Audi main dealer to get the cluster coded as it needs to be done online to Audi HQ.

Also does the ecu control the mileage or do the clocks?

Cause if i change mine i cant be bothered changing mileage etc etc
