Another years ticket

Featured Replies

Well little Felicity has done me proud again and passed another MOT with only a couple advisories, all cheap (~£10) to replace! (R bearings, pads, tread)

Got some wheel balancing/tracking TLC as a treat afterwards ;)

Good stuff mate

It always tends to be sweaty palms time, especially if like us the older examples are involved ! ;)

i've got to get me one of those number plates in the above pic, it would make excursions past speed camera's easier

Especially with the all new 1.8T Tom ! :smirk:

One for me at the same time please ;)

Well done! That's another Felicia with a shiny new MOT.

They're hard to beat, these wee cars.

  • 2 weeks later...

Mine's through for another year. Needed a lower suspension ball joint on right and CV joint gaiter on left then an anti roll bar link broke so that needed doing too. Put a centre silencer on a couple of weeks back and a set of glow plugs so it's been an expensive month. I usually spend so little on it I suppose it was a matter of time so I can't complain.

Mine needed a windscreen, headlamp (big hole in the glass), brake pipe and as the brakes seem truly atrocious I replaced the pads, shoes and fluid.

Did the windscreen myself with the old string trick, haven't done that for about thirty years.

I have to say at the end of the day even after passing the test the brakes are still feel less than reassuring to me. Plans are afoot....
