Insurance?

Featured Replies

Hi, so I'm 19 (20 in 2 weeks) and wanting a vrs, I would also be looking to add my brother on as a named driver he's 23...just asking young drivers where they insure...I have tried Adrian flux and got £2.9k and also admiral and got about the same...Amy where else where to try? I will have 1 years NCD also

Cheers

Take your brother off? 23 isn't really gonna bring much to the party. Tried comparison site? That'll often give an idea if you're fighting a loosing battle or not.

Adrian flux was good for me when I was 20 payed around £700 for a highly modified Nissan 200sx...yet wanted more to insure insure my other standard 200sx

Sky insurance are worth a call .

Was you swapping the policy mid way through or starting a new one for the standard car?

New policy mate.

I'm with Admiral, and just renewed for a 3rd yr with them.

Forget your brother - add your Granny :)

Try Greenlight. They gave me a fantastic quote and very good service.

I'm 21 and have a years driving/no claims I managed to get a vrs and fully comp for £950 I used a local broker, they gave me loads of discount for being local... city group they're called... doubt that they're up your way though. Using a local broker they really want your custom so i was able to haggle quite a bit...

Also Add your mum/aunt or some female relative it made mine go down a couple of hundred quid!

Good luck and expect the worst being young they want all your money ha-ha!

I'm 24 and have no NCD and passed 6 days ago. I've gone with Admiral as there £200 cheaper, even after I went through all of the details twice because I didn't think I could get a policy under £1000.

Get your mum or some one with a decent amount of CLEAN driving under their belts who you would actually let use the car. Also it shouldn't matter who the cars registered owner is as long as you've got the policy in your name and you declare who the registered keeper is as it appears on the V5 doc so saying its your nan's car doesn't help as the policy is yours.

( a lady at work officially owns her daughters car but they didn't put the correct ownership and said the daughter owned it and then the car was a victim of a bump and run and the insurer won't pay out as the details weren't correct on the policy and the policy is now void and the repairs will have to come from their own pockets. Bad times. )
