fabia wont start...

Featured Replies

I'm new to all this and google keeps pointing me in this direction so i hope someone can help! I just bought a fabia vrs on saturday and on the way home stopped to fill up with diesel. I then attempted to start the car, and it was completely dead. All the lights come on in the dash, all lights etc working, and plenty bettery power...i even checked the reciept to make sure it was diesel i put in! As soon as you turn the key to crank the engine, theres nothing. I also noticed clutch slipping, and that the ASR wasnt working, although no dash lights come on. Car has sat all week and was due to take it to the dealer for warranty work, local garage managed to start it, and on the way there, had quite a loud pop in engine bay and then couldnt see the car behind for black smoke. ANY help would be great. Would love to actually have a shot of the car!! Thanks in advance, Clare.

Wow I am sorry to hear all these problems with your car! They are great really and pretty bullet proof... honest.

The no starting issue will be the starter motor wire snapping I reckon... happened to me two days after I bought mine...

The pop and black smoke will be a turbo boost pipe popping off. I think it's a common problem on the older car's!
