Any day now!

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I finally did the deed in January and am now looking forward to the imminent delivery of a Yeti (steel grey170 4x4 L&K + spare wheel) - dealer reckons it was a build week 9 car so should be with them by any day.

I've been toying with the idea of a Yeti for 3 years (!) and reading your many and varied comments on here eventually persuaded me to buy one.

Never owned a Skoda before (although my father drives a Superb Elegance 170 DSG which is a great car) so really looking forward to the 'Yeti' experience.

^ welcome to the forum, you'll be one of the first with an L&K, enjoy.

Congrats, great choice of car, mine was built week 10, it will be my second yeti, there's quite a few owners on their second now. Testament to a good car!

Also have a steel grey L&K on order, though mine just has provisional build week of 21 at the moment.

Please post lot's of pics when you get yours

+1 - still desperate to see pictures of a real live L&K in the UK while I wait for mine (about another 8 weeks, I guess)!

Hope it turns out good for you. The 170 is a storming engine, and much more flexible than the 140 I had before....

I wish I'd gone for the 170 but in the last 15 months I've spent most of my time on country backs roads and driving round muddy farm fields so it wouldn't have been worth spending the extra cash. I also had good intentions of washing and cleaning it each weekend but again I've spent most of my weekends rounding up sheep, dry stone walling and fencing (and on the odd occasion stemming the emu compound. I think it was about 6 months ago I washed it.

My son got his tractor stuck once and I offered to pull it out with the Yeti - he wasn't amused!

Washing cars where I live at the moment is pointless...well that's my tack, and I'm sticking to it :-)

Thanks for your comments - I will post photos on arrival.

Really looking forward to picking it up and plenty of 'Yeti adventures' already planned :)

I too am waiting for my first Yeti which is also a steel grey 170 L & K (With spare wheel too, plus a few other things) due very soon, the dealer, Mitchells in Chester advised build week 10, but I am still waiting for an update from dealer though which I always have to chase a few times before they respond.

Hopefully I'll get it for Easter! :hi:

Just an update confirmed by the dealer yesterday that the car is at Emdem waiting for the ship. It appears that a few other's have cars waiting at Emdem too!

Just another recent update from the dealers this morning to advise that the new car is in Grimsby and due to a '**** up' by ECM (Vehicle Delivery People) forgetting about the consignment of cars, who are now trying to 'reshuffle' all of their March deliveries.

He thinks they may get it in the next few days and I am eagerly awaiting their confirmation as it's due a March registration.

Just wondering if anyone else has recieved their cars recently (from the port of Grimsby)?

Pasquale

Mine is also in Grimsby.

I've been told pretty much the same it should be here any day, but I honestly don't imagine i will get it now till April.

Good luck with yours.

Pasquale,

Not sure why you have restricted your post to under 40s. But having peered through my reading glasses I hope you get your hoped for march delivery.

Sorry, I did try and re-edit to enlarge the text size and re-post but obviously it didn't work.

Better luck next time.

Thanks for trying-Help the Aged!!!

I'm told my L&K arrived at the dealers on Saturday but unfortunately due to work commitments I'm not around to collect it until Good Friday - never mind over 1,000 miles of 'adventures' planned for next week though - should be fun :-)

You could be the first to post a photo of a L & K on this Forum and I am sure we will all be looking forward to it. We would also like a close up of the wheels to confirm if the wheel centres are of the latest logo style. Sure you will enjoy it, best of luck with your 1000 miles try out
