Nice day today so thought I'd have a look at a few niggles on the vrs, first the audio. It's pretty crap to say the least but I've been having dealer issues with the rears, today I found out why!

All the rivets drilled out and they look OK.

Never have i seen anything like it!

Also managed to smash the headlight while working on the 4x4, anyone selling a passenger headlight?

Got pair of headlights with londoncolour hids. Ballasts all hidden inside units.

Broke a headlight messing about so got to looking for some tinted ones and a fellow brisky member came to the rescue.

Was also hoping the mtc ind kit and ramair filter would be here but no such luck.

Cleaned it today

Took the filler extension off ready for the ind kit coming so it looks a bit tidier

Oe speaker pods out and dropped off with my mate at subtronix car audio to have mdf ones made to house the 6.5" components all round.

Bargain buy ind kit fitted today and I'm impressed. White wouldn't be a colour I'd normally choose but at £50 delivered for the whole thing I wasn't going to say no

Today's mission: tweeter swap.

While the speaker mounts are being made I thought I'd swap out the standard teeters for the jbl ones to match the speakers.

Pretty easy task tbh

Reveals the plastic cover, remove that with some pliers

Hot glue the new ones in.

Jobs a good Un.

Gave the bay a once over as it was a bit grubby.

Not a lot happening but I did swap the battery under warranty because it's been acting up recently. It's also in need of a wash

Nice weather taken advantage of.

Another little job done that I've been meaning to do for a while, well since removing the charcoal canister over a year ago

Spare light and time to kill. .....

Also nipped to a local meet

Basic shape formed with fibreglass mat and inner bonded to outer with filler and smoothed.

Needs some more building up but I've ran out of resin for the fibreglass.

Trail fit to make sure it all lines up before I carry on.

Bit more fibreglass mat needed inside to finish buildin the shape then it can be smoothed and painted

Got the shape and started to sand ready for paint.

Gave up for the day

Debating on a full paint instead of just the odd bits and bobs at the minute.

That was what mine was like,people thought it looked mint on pics but was far from it in reality but couldn't justify throwing money into a paint job so that's why the rattle cans came out lol

Glad you've got the motivation back to carry on with it though

Only tinkering while I look for a project. Was due to collect a 2.9 xr4x4 next week but someone put a slightly better bid in.
