After putting up with my various projects since getting rid of our mk1 vrs

My projects:

Volvo 340 1.7t

Bmw E36 coupe drifter

E48BABFA-6154-4448-BA1A-E2F78E9FEEA0-974

Most recently a discovery 200tdi offroader

E65B70E8-B131-4DD9-9BD8-D2E036BB2FF3-280

And driving a mk4 golf and more recently a Clio I decided that it was time for her to get back behind the wheel of a decent car again.

The hunt began, looked at cupra R's and S3's but she liked the mk1 that much the only option was a mk2.

So here it is.

I must say I'm impressed so far so here's hoping it turns out to be as good as the mk1 was.

Few things planned.

Wheel colour change

Filter

Exhaust

Map

Dv

Suspension

That'll probably be it but you never know http://www.briskoda.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/#EMO_DIR#/emoticon-0100-smile.gif

It was a crazy little thing, had the 440 turbo engine in it ;)

If its in front of the front wheel then yes it's the exhaust lol

Yeah same as the 480 terrible engine made by isuzu if i remember mine earned me 20 grand as I was hit by bank robbers ha ha drove it home and the nsf wheel fell off on the drive while i sat therre laughing (in shock ) the sun roof hit me on the head #solid

Starting to look at mods for it as I've had my first proper journey in it today with a chance to stretch its legs and I'm not impressed. Its not as quick as I thought it would be and Definately not as quick as my mk1 so that needs addressing and the Handling is a bit wishy washy so needs sorting.

But other than that it seems ok.

Just goes to show that fancy expensive polishes aren't needed!

Not much going on here apart from the ESP light on constant & a 01435 code when I got home this weekend!

Not impressed when I've got the golf to get done for gti fest. :(

I'll be taking the vrs on as my next project in the new year!

Plans aren't huge just stage 2 and a few tweeks in the looks & handling department.

Looks tidy that.

Grill makes a massive difference and is a simple cheap mod, did mine myself so the finish isn't 100%.

Not good at respraying so not taking any risk. Will take it to a sprayer, as I am thinking to gloss black every front grill.

Coilovers

Quickshift

Stage 2 map

Stereo install

In no particular order

Been off-roading?

When are you planning to do these mods? Looking forward to see your car with a new set of shoes :) My first mod today was front and rear window's tinted.

  • Author

The route to work is a back lane blaster through some woods ;)

Mods will start after Xmas hopefully.

Pics of the tints? I want these doing

This is mine with rear tints. Bit of an older photo since I upgraded the badges. Just remember the legality of front tints. Mine are limo tint, rear windows cost me £170.
