Bluetooth streaming Samsung S3

Featured Replies

Anyone running an S3 with a 5k0 D revision bt module please? If so are you able to change tracks with steering controls and see track times on head unit? I could do this with my old htc desire but no longer with the S3. Am just wishing to confirm that it is phone related/expected behaviour.

Thanks

Adam

not even tried with my phone yet! And no idea what revision bt I have. might try tomorrow if I remember.

you need to put latest software on phone, that's what mike did.

Thanks, not actually tried yet, but cant see a setting on the phone to enable rsap.

Tried mine today, and it connects to the bolero and I can use the phone, but not the music, but if the wife's phone connects first, then the units will let me play the music through the unit.........not sure if I could control the music from the steering wheel.

Thanks for your information both. It makes sense that the S3 doesn't have a setting but it turns out my 5K0 doesn't support rSap anyway (should have realised as there is no additional antenna of course).

It does stream though which is very good quality but irritatingly the track change buttons only work very periodically, and although the track info shows, the track time doesn't update. Also the MDI doesn't recognise the S3, which according to searches is a known problem without some kind of rooting which I don't want to do. So I am busy moving the data onto the Columbus HDD this evening!!
