There is no benefit over the autobahn TIP against a standard TIP is there?

Decat/downpipe = Yes

cat back exhaust 2.5" = Yes

FMIC = Yes

Panel Filter = Yes

Or CAI with cone = Yes if you haven't gone for panel filter

4 bar pressure regulator = No

Seat fuel pump = only needed if you run into fueling issue's but yes to play it safe (cupra R 4bar pump)

TIP = Forge or new large SFS

bigger MAF = No

During the last month flooding my friend ran into a puddle of water in the road and hydrolock his engine.

He had CAI with that thing onto the air filter what suppose to protect it from water getting into the engine.

It is much safer to use K&N,BMC or similar drop in filter.

I still cant see the benefits of a panel filter over stock besides reusing it. No need for an induction kit.

I have tested stock bosch filter vs BMC and the results are pretty much the same. Air flow was around 176-177g/s for both air filters but in my opinion stock filter filters dust much better

Then why do you have a BMC one? ;)

Must of been one hell of a puddle. The air filter on the CAI is high enough away from puddles. Had mine on for 4 years and with sensible driving gives no issues at all. You see a large puddle you avoid or slow down.

Sent from my Galaxy S3.

Then why do you have a BMC one? ;)

Because I`m too lazy to change it to stock, BMC was second one in the test

I was on the phone the other day with the mapping company I plan to go with and I have to say they didn't feel me with much confidence. the main thing that knocked me back was they said about my turbo. Asking if it would be strong enough for stage 2 and that 160k was a lot of miles on the same turbo!

Without unbolting it, is there anyway to know if she is still good? and should I be worried?

You could take inlet off and see how much play there is !!

160k on original tubby is amazing

Don't say that!!! haha. How would I know what is an expectable amount of play?

I just hit the 148000 mark today.

Still going strong on original turbo and stage 2 map, no issues

160000 miles is good going, no reason to not get mapped if you have good strong solid boost from your stage 1. Plus mappers should check engine fueling boost etc when mapping. They may warn you about the mileage as they are just covering their ar** in case you do have issues. but don't let that put you off  .

Just a bit disheartening when you hear it!

I know its silly, but if I go stage 2, with what I have do you think I would be able to take down an r32/get those sort of figures, if not more?

yes you will, fat lazy lump, with heavy 4x4...you are probably faster already!

That not nice calling Damian a fat lazy lump..............................lol

Damian , a stage 2 will walk all over a R32 buddy, It is like night and day over even the stage 1. You will have much more torque which is the important part.
