Looks good

Wish they wouldn't charge the bones of €2,000 for it. Would love it in my next car.

It looks about the same size as the swing thats fitted to the superb2

Depending on the spec of the car that you have it can be priced at £800, which for an upgrade to the Columbus isnt bad I dont think? Ok, its a lot of money still, but considering many of us are prepared to pay £500 or so on ebay then an extra £300 and you get a factory one. Not bad overall.

My Superb has the old Columbus as standard so was tempted by the £800 upgrade, but could not bring myself to justify the extra cost as the new Amundsen has most of the features that the Columbus has, main difference is the screen size/resolution and the hard drive/dvd. I am buying this time not leasing so also considering potential replacement costs over 5 yr ownership as my Columbus was replaced out of warranty and they charged £2,000+vat!, less only 45% good will and the lease company picked up the rest. The Amundsen is a cheaper unit so the risk of picking up a big bill in year 4 or 5 is reduced if they have still not fixed reliability issues, at the end of the day these are complex computers and we all know how temperamental computers can be! ;)

How long before the "Will this knock-off from China fit?" threads?
