Reversible boot floor, so clever you have to pay extra for it!

Featured Replies

Having found that the two demonstrators lacked the promised reversible boot floor as described both on the website and in the brochure I decided to check with SUK customer services. Today I've received an email saying it's a cost option, to be purchased from your dealer!! I followed this up by querying it by telephone to be told again it's an option despite me pointing out the picture of the reversible boot floor on page 10 of the brochure differs from the picture of the rubber boot floor which you can purchase from the dealer!! It appears SUK just read the brochure when you have a query and then give you their interpretation of it!!

I'll just have to wait and see what other ' simply clever' features my car will lack when it arrives!

What is a reversible boot floor anyway...... :giggle: ???

The clues in the title ;)

Title explains nothing.

Title explains nothing.

I had to ask a similar question in another thread, it's basically a reversible mat. Rubber one side, carpet the other.

Thank you! :)

How much extra?

A4's have them.

It appears you don't have to pay extra for it SUK customer services just said that after reading the brochure and making up an answer!! The correct answer found out by Matt is that it is not yet available as skoda are having problems with it!

Old thread but relevant. Wanted one of these when I ordered last October but it wasn't available seemingly, are Skoda still not doing it does anyone know?

Many brochures are general and it is SUK's decision to choose the standard and option accessories (Simply Clever). We here in Finland have the reversible boot mat as standard in the Combis (exc. Active and some G-Tec's).

I enquired when ordering my vrs Estate and the dealer could supply one for 97 quid inc vat.

That are also available on superskoda http://www.superskoda.com/Skoda/OCTAVIA-III/Octavia-III-Combi-flip-folding-boot-mat-textile-rubber-original-Skoda-Autoas-product

Thanks - I had looked there but not for the first time, I didn't come across it....

Is it a Combi only option do you know? I didn't think so from the brochure but the photo's look like the liftback?

Just double checked SuperSkoda and then don't list another one for the liftback, just textile OR rubber...

I have this reversible mat.........bloody huge as it also covers the seat backs when they are in the folded down position, you can sleep two people on it!.............

The key may be somewhere in the brochure small print -- 'car shown may not be UK spec' or something similar. Just because something is in the photo doesn't mean (i) you will get it or (ii) you can get it. How may UK spec cars have LHD?

That's quite temptying for when I've got my bike in the boot.

I bought the same after pipsyp convinced me. I got it mostly for the protection for the backseat and the rear bumper (foldout part). That said it is huge, and since it was delivered rolled up I have problems keeping it flat (it's too cold at the moment).

The standard reversible mat seems to be the one on the left.(copypaste pic from the German brochure)

Catalogue says estate only

PS: Both mats are 99,9€

Hi guys.

Will the reversible boot mat (5E9061210) fit my 2014 estate with canton? I don't have the variable boot floor though!

Thanks for help in advance.

Neil

I got this as a £75 option on my 2016 VRS hatchback - it is part of the 'Simply Clever' package which also includes the mobile phone holder and the small rubbish bins that fit into the front door bins.

I was expecting it to be a properly reversible floor, but what it actually is is simply a rather flimsy mat with rubber on one side - good for muddy wheels on pushchairs but not sure it feels like a product that justifies the price tag!

I have this on mine and only realized it was reversible after checking this thread :D :D

i ordered the reversible boot floor with the new car in 2016. it looks like what is in the photo

one side is rubber mat. carpet on the other side.

anyway, it's in the rubber mat side ever since... it's easier to clean than the carpet side.
