Fixed price servicing for Octavia VRS

Featured Replies

Recently had my 1st servicing done at local dealer. Was done whilst I waited and I had the choice of leaving it there and taking a courtesy car. Price wasn't bad either. At the end I was offered a fixed price servicing option- £399 for next 2 services and MOT with the 2nd one. So a major service, a minor and an MOT for 399. Is it worth it?

I was told at current prices that's about £70 off but labour and parts constantly increase so would be more like £130 in real terms.

What do you guys think?

My first two services were done as part of a £299 (plus a £50 Skoda voucher) package.

I am currently on a £299 2 services and 2 MOT's (including MOT insurance) package.

Given the above, I'd say it sounds dear.

My dealer is currently advertising a minor service for cars 3 years+ at £129 but if your car is under 3 you are offered the bargain price of £169 presumably because they consider you tied to the Skoda dealer network for warranty reasons! Considering this is basically an oil change and filter it's a total rip off.

Mind you they did recently quote me £102 to supply and fit 4 mudflaps so in comparison the service is relatively cheap

Sounds like it should be £349 as per website or 299+50 quoted by Fin69. Don't like being ripped off or even someone trying to rip me off! Glad I didn't pay then and there and decided to think about it. Cheeky buggers! Shouldn't this be reported to Skoda or are dealers allowed to 'set their own prices'?
