Battlefield 4 !

Featured Replies

I've just watched the Battlefield 4 trailer - really good, would recommend.

They should slow down with releasing new titles, I am still enjoying the BF3 very much :)

Good to have somone to hook up with. Cant chat mostly as i only get on when the wee one is sleeping and her room is next door. Thought headphones were the answer but i forgot about chatting and with h

Impressive looking.

But then so was the trailer for 3, so I await game-play first.

At least they have realised that turning the brightness up to 150% and putting a blue tinge on everything doesn't actually make good gfx.

Well, they evolved :). Not for naught gaming industry outgrew the film industry some time ago.

I did not notice the release date for it...

I hope I will be getting alpha testing invite soon-playing Metro with masses of bugs was fun lol

How old do you want me to be? 27too young? 58 too old?

I bought BF3 but barely used it. Updates are bigger every time I run it

That is the game play.

By the time this is out it will be nearly 2 years since BF3 was released.

No. That is the in-game footage. It in no way shows what the game play will be like.

Shows the person playing shooting stuff, that is the game play. Title of the video even says "gameplay".

Really? Wow, I am seriously spending too much time playing it, seems like I bought it yesterday...

I think it is Single Player Gameplay trailer. My only worry is that I finally will be forced to upgrade my venerable PC :D

to a PS4 ?

That's not such a bad idea.. To upgrade my PC I'd need min £500. PS4 will certainly come under that...

So long as you can live with the graphics downgrade and less players on the maps the PS4/720 is a good bet. :)

I only run 1360x768 as I use 32" tv for gaming so my graphics are "crap" anyways lol. I was always in the PC camp and never ever bought a console (except from Nintendo Wii for kids). I also bought LeapMotion (should be shipping may) which I do not thing is going to be compatible with PS4 and I want to adopt motion control in everything as soon as I possibly can.

Also, from the specs I saw PS4 is supposed to be rather well endowed in the hardware department, on par with a rather good PC.

On the cons side for the console is the cost of games - robbery in broad daylight!

Sounds like a PS4 would suit you better than a PC upgrade. Though again it would be wasted on a 32" low res TV!

PS4 will be on par with a mid range PC at best. :)

How can this be better than battlefield 3?

Ha! I perhaps could have few "asks" but the experience is exactly what I need. Fort of all I'd ditch the web browser battlenet system and reinstated all in game controls or everything-I always was against it and it always figured in my testing feedback reports.

BF franchise was always head and shoulders above CoD and the like. Servicemen say that CoD is more realistic but I find it too much of a gunslinger feast where reflexes rule above strategy, tactics and "intelligent play" so to speak. Having said that I really liked MoH :)

I agree, hate playing CoD, just run round with your finger on the trigger. Battlefield is much better, strategy, maps, guns, vehicles. Better all round. Just can't see it being a vast improvement over 3.

I'd like to be pleasantly surprised :). At £50 for the Digital Deluxe Pre-Order it'd have to be a rather hefty surprise!

I seriously can't wait for this, I actually bought BF3 when I was without a console purely because I was so looking forward to it after Bad Company 2. Really liking the new map's as of late with the dropship make's it really fun, only downside is the anti air humvee's seem to be able to lock onto an aircraft the otherside of the map which is rather annoying.

Can't wait for the potential of sea battles on BF4, I've only recently bought myself a new xbox after my classic died but I think it's safe to say I will be upgrading to the 720 when it comes out

Always late to get on the bus, the release of 4 will make used copies of 3

dirt cheap so I can buy it then. Does it have a 1 player campaign like COD?

I don't do online gaming really.
