WOW. I wondered how that soflam thing worked. Could i drop one as a recon then at respawn change to engineer and target air units? Or does the recon kit disapear when you change class? I havent unlocked the soflam but it would be worth aiming for if it worked like this.

I 'think' it would dissappear, med packs and ammo stay behind, but I'm sure when I tried that it didn't work.

I'll try it later and let you know, soflam's can be seen from the other side of the maps, so when one is up it tends not to stay long anyway, a well placed tanks shell and it's history.

It depends on a server setting I think as I frequently apply this tactic on large vehicel maps. Spawn initially as Recon, place SOFLAM in a good location so not on a top of a barren hill as this will be wiped out instantly. You won't get as good coverage but it will stay up for longer. Then run somwhere central with your Recon, set up the spawn point and swith on Rambo mode to get yourself killed. Then spawn as Eng with Jav. on that spawn point. The only problem is ammo so best to be able to find a crate to replenish the boom sticks. Also be mindful that Javs and RPG's leave smoke trails pinpointing youtr location so move around as much as possible.

Other tactic is to do the Recon bit abd then play in a vehicle with guided missiles outfitted.

Kills wwhich crack me up is when I lock Jav on a SOFLAM (Javs lock on SOFLAMS as well) and kill the Recon dude who is laying next to it.

A Question. Does the AA HUMVEE (sp?) has an upgrade to its missile system i.e. not AA missiles only but something like air burst or anti vehicle ones. I am asking as I was under fire from such a vehicle being on foot...

I play on Xbox, I had a break a while ago when Blops2 came out due to playing it too much and got a little bored of it but then again I am approaching 370 hours playing time. I mainly play as assault or support but do occasionally use the engineers kit. I still seem to get a massive kick outta taking out jets and helicopters with unguided tank shells, still makes me laugh and smile, had a match the other week where I took down 3 jets and 5 heli's lol.

Love flying heli's and rather decent at it and can pull of some pretty niffy moves when it's called for.

There's nothing better than taking out a particularly pesku heli with a well aimed shell. Canister shells are quite good at finishing the already wounded ones off .

I love playing jet with Eng and Igla missile, when I eject high altitude I can take my nemezis out with igla while parachuting down, they have no clue what hit them LOL

I presume you get some assist points if another eng takes out a vehicle that your soflam pinpoints?

Not only that but also for achieving a target lock without anybody killing it even 10 pts for nothing

Heli crewed by a good team is very hard to stop. If I have a good pilot I am taking it as a gunner. Pilot with laser painter and me with guided missile is sweet. Plus both with flares and you are laughing. Some wicked flying skills needed as well of course. In such situations I love to have a good tunguska at hand !

I dunno about on PC but on xbox the gunner can no longer have flares. when paired with ECM I was unstoppable with my mate. Then again give us a scout chopper and with the guided missle, laser designator and 2 eng repairing we are hard to take down

True, however repair a direct hit tank shell damage or full load of ASPDFS (or whatever it's called) from the IFV they would not

Oh yeah tank shell and a direct rpg's take us down but we tend to avoid those situations as best we can.
