VF engineering engine mounts, anyone running them and care to review?

Featured Replies

Hi all

I'm thinking of getting the VF engineering engine mounts for my 2007 GIAC extreme K04 Octavia vRS but I'm a little worried about vibrations at idle.

Sat in 2 cars running them, one was a 2008 A3 2.0TFSI and the other was a 2007 Leon FR 2.0TFSI and on the leon idle vibration is terrible while on the audi they feel great.

Wondering what they're like on the octi and would love to here some reviews.

Cheers

Ive just fitted some vibra technics mounts to my polo 1.8turbo and they are Great. Vibration at idle has increased but once underway there is very little difference in vibration. Power transfer is now instant and the car does feel Much tighter for it.

Overall id say they are worth it

I'm more interested in reviews for the 1Z octavia but any response is welcome and I value your comments.

Thanks!

remember they take about 600-100 miles to soften!

Friend has the VF's in his 2011 Cupra R...

Absolutely terrible he hated them so much.

Yeah they suck on seat's this I noticed but they seem ok on audi's

Question is if the skoda is more of a seat or more of an audi.

Almost fitted them today but decided to return them and get something softer like ths.

Thank you all for your advice.

Cheers

Hi

Sorry for bumping the old thread, just wanted people to know that I eventually got the THS mounts and that they lasted about 6 month before they broke.

These are a joke and I can't recommend them to anyone, stay away from THS mounts.

Got a new pair of BFI stage2 mounts, hope they hold.

Cheers

thanks for the input, wow thats not good news, Ive had mine in about a year without troubles though!

would suggest you Try the VWR mounts or the Revo mounts then since you had no luck with THS

Been runnung the BFI mounts for the past week, so far they are no less than awesome!

No vibration at idle and the engine bearly moves, I also like the fact that you can renew them by just replacing the polyurethane bushes rather than replacing the entire mount.

Heard good feedback on vwr as well but don't have first hand experience with them.

BFI stage 1 you have?

Nope stage 2

How are you doing with these

How many km or miles have you driven so far and what is the outcome?
