A new 2014 model Kia Soul been unveiled.

I wonder where they got the new body idea from ?

I guess some pictures might aid the thread :giggle:

Nice design, but not much clearance in the wheel arches. But then again, it's not competing with the Yeti.

Is it much different from the 'old' model? Can't say I've looked that closely at one but seems very similar. Quirky design and not that bad I suppose.

I quite like it.

It isn't that bad, and I think I could live with it.

SWMBO said she liked the colour!

Side design looks to me alike to the new generation of Fiat Doblo (In fact, the new Doblo looks as a bigger version of the Soul, excluding the sliding rear doors). A few months ago I had an urban travel in a Soul TAXI, sitting in the 2nd row. It looks to me as the cabin space is somewhat bigger than the Yeti's cabin.

As for the "A pillar" design - I think it was first seen on the last generation of the Suzuki Swift.

In many aspects, the Yeti's design stands apart and that's one of the reasons many of us like it so much !

My sister had one for just 6 months, mpg absolutely dire.

I've liked the styling of the Soul since I first set eyes on one and I like the facelift too. Sadly, that doesn't necessarily make it a good car, although it probably helps sales.
