Best VW forum?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

The girlfriend's looking at a Tiguan (ok, I'm doing the looking for her now) and I wanted to join a VW forum to ask a few questions of existing owners much the same way I've seen others on here ask about options, colours, alloys, etc.. before purchasing. However, the ones that my Googling skills have uncovered seem to be frankly rubbish. Vwforums, vwaudiforums the two main ones. There are posts on there with over a thousand views and literally 1 reply which is usually chastising them for posting in the wrong section. Wtf!

So, 2 questions:

Can anyone on here recommend one?

Have I just been spoilt by the Briskoda forum being full of thoroughly decent chaps (& wimmin)?

VW's are seemed to be owned by the sort of people that become moody twits and tosspots when they go onto a Internet forum lol

Sent from my Galaxy S3, not a Crapple!

You will probably get better advice posting your questions on here.

Most of the vw forums are for the older stuff most of the time, where people can be great. The more current stuff seems to have worse forums/less knowledge etc. I doubt the tiguan has much of a following in the same way gti models etc do either.

Best car forum I've found is for my 3 series, which came as a shock!

How closely related to the yeti is the tiguan? I believe the tiguan is at least on the same platform as the Octavia.

It's on the VW A5 platform, so will share a lot of components I would have thought.

I have found vwvortex.com and vwwatercooled.com.au to be good. Neither of them are UK based though...
