Red Or White ?

Featured Replies

Hi All i recently ordered a Monte Carlo Tech in Red But today i saw on in White and really liked it and now im thinking bout changing to White has anyone got any pic they could upload of the car in white or red for me to look at please. Also has anyone got any experience of white and red cars and any pitfalls involved ?

White

White looks best IMHO.

White is more difficult to keep looking clean but red can fade over time and look poor.

Red , it hides the dirt better, I have some pics in my gallery seen via my profile.

I spotted a red and a white one next to each other at the dealers the other day.......... The red just stood out head and shoulders above the white, just my opinion, the days of red having '' fade '' over a time period are long gone. I just think a Red Monte or VRS with a black roof and the black gloss alloys would simply stunning.

Neither, both are way too common on the Monte.

Seen a few pics of yellow montes and strangely think they look rather good!

I have got red only because i have had white. Don't skoda have a 10 year paint waranty

I have a red Monte today and pick up my new white Monte tomorrow, trade in reason is I've done 37000 miles in 18 months (driving instructor) and got offered what I considered to be an excellent price for my red one. I didn't want red again as it wouldn't notice that I had a new car so went for white as there is only one other on the island where I live so it'll stand out (good for business). I don't think there is much in the two colours really although I think the white shows off the black better, just my opinion.

Whatever you decide, you'll not be disappointed, I've driven many vehicles over the years and the Monte has been outstanding, only had a dash warning sensor come on which was cured by re-routing it apparently and a rear drum brake return spring snapped, other than that faultless :-)

Hope you enjoy your car, whatever colour it may be.

Obviously our vote would be for white.

Having just bought another white car... White :) Red is easier to keep clean though.

I have a white car. Looks great but its ninja to keep clean. I think i prefer red as well tbh

I like red.

White looks a bit better but is very common.

But given free choice yellow is the best colour for a Monte as you have enough black bits to get a good contrast.

(IMO, OK I have a yellow/black car too! :D)

Yellow Montes are awesome, but then again just a tad bit biased :) (I love mine to bits and first car i've owned with a vivid colour scheme)

Slightly biased but I prefer white! Takes a lot of cleaning but luckily I have OCD!

White isn't common, it's popular :)

Besides ours I've not seen another white Monte round here on the road, or on the odd visit to a dealers. Red is the most popular on the road, then silver and I've seen a yellow one near York a few times (has business logo down the sides). Spotted one black in a showroom and not seen grey at all and now withdrawn.

Red was the wife's preferred choice and although a previous Skoda was corrida red, I felt it showed up chips and scratches all to easily, compared to our white Yeti. To me anyway the Yeti seems to looking nice all the time but up close the keen eye will see, stone chip wise, she's akin to have been peppered with a shotgun; state of our roads :S

Red does not fade!

I used to have a r reg golf. My parents neighbours grand daughter now has it and its still as red as day one!

Red. Im a red car man if I have the choice anyway. Red polishes up really well and is unlikely to fade these days. The paintwork on mine looks as good as the day I picked it up, if not better!! :giggle: expect for a couple of stone chips and a mysterious scratch thats appeared!

White.

Red was my first choice until I realised it looks like the Man Utd kit.

As a Liverpool supporter working with an office full of Red Devils, it would only have ended badly :)

Red and White are both better that BLACK!

I have a white car.

A pig to keep looking clean.

For a Monte? Yellow all the way. Stunning looking.

Have seen plenty of Red Monte's about, but regularly pass a white one and that's the only one I've seen.

I have a white/black vRS. If I was ordering a car tomorrow, I'd happily have a red one
