Ok

Had the engine cover off and indeed there is a bit of the underside that does appear to be snapped off. Although I dont think its that is making the noise, see my link for a video of the noise, any suggestions welcome.

Its driving me made, the only thing i can think off is the DV but not sure if a faulty one would make that noise on idle.
