Not sure if you can if you mean the ones in the bottom of the door cards.

 • One tip, run the heated mirrors for 10 minutes first to soften the plastic clips so the mirror glass pops off without too much force

 • Just completed this job, all LED's used were 6000K white purchased from Fizzmo on ebay (who provided an excellent service). These are the LED types required for an Octavia Elegance estate: Map light

Thanks for the links. Which light does each of those links relate to? Cheers

Edited my post - I think this is right...

Cheers mate, very good of you to do so. Ordering mine later today!

OK, don't yet!

despite the info I found on here, I think its wrong. Will update you later as I'm going to get them fitted in the next hour or so...

Doh! Already have!

Actually, you'll be ok - it was my mistake. All fitted up now and they look good. I'll get pics later when it gets proper dark but they do have a slight blue tinge to them but overall, LOADS better than the normal ones!

Just a shame that when I was at Halfords getting a new fuse, some p***k drove into my rear quarter and very nicely drove off without stopping :swear:

Phew! I actually prefer a blue tint, so that's good news to me! If only I could get a clear door light lens now...

Ah, that sucks. I've got 4-5 dings on my Octy, and only 1 of them is the result of something I've actually done!

I was a litte confused when 42mm festoons was mentioned as I had previously read 38mm was the size.

I was a litte confused when 42mm festoons was mentioned as I had previously read 38mm was the size.

I thought it was 38/39mm festoons as well... Anyone confirm this please?

OK, I used the info in the last post in http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/152680-interior-lighting/page__hl__+bulb%20+size#entry1898156]this thread.

Reading back, I think I made a mistake by ordering http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/290699757220?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649]these instead of 38s (should have ordered another couple of http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/120911058993?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649]these I think).

Anyway, taking away those 36s I ordered by mistake, everything is sorted apart from the two door warning LEDs. None of the LED bulbs seemed to like those so I've left the normal bulbs in (which seems fine).

So, what I think I should have ordered was:

4 x 38mm C5W (number plate lights and door warning lights)

4 x 501s (map lights and boot lights)

1 x 31mm C5W (for the glove box)

2 x 42mm C5W (roof lights)

Did you manage to get any pics DaveyBoy?

I just installed (most) of mine and will post pictures later. Managed to mess the glove box light up though, so I might need a bit of assistance putting it back together correctly!

Interior and boot changes are superb though, will do the number plate lights shortly too.

No error messages? Which leds did you use?

No error messages at all (I've got a pre-fl though), but the number plate lights suggested initially by DaveyBoy kept giving me stick, so I took those out. The set of 38mm ones I ordered for the doors work just fine in there, as DaveyBoy later suggested.

This is better for me anyway, as I am hoping to do something different with the door lights. I love to get a clear lens and stick some green bulbs in there eventually.

I'll report back in a week or so to let everyone know how they are.

Does anyone know how you get the door mirror lens off? It looks like a right ******!

Cool. I am just doing the roof, boot and maps in the first place so should be all good (although having a fl may make a difference).

This is an interesting thread, would love to see the pics once your ready. Along with your bulb choices & links. Be dead handy to have as a visual aid/guide to buy. You gotta love the folks who frequent Briskoda

Thanks for the picture of the Super Skoda ones. How do they fit in the light fittings? The picture on their website shows 'pillars' holding the bulbs: what do these starch to and how?

Nah, quite easy.

From memory, you pop the mirror out, disconnect the heated wires to get the glass out the way, remove the screws which hold the motor in and anything else and pop the bottom out. Can't remember exactly, but I worked it out just by looking at it once the mirror glass was out, not that difficult.

I just think they look very cold and clinical looking.

That's what I like about them. Wouldn't want it in the living room or bedroom but in a car I think it looks better than the yellow.
