Mine is real loud can be heard in the car and outside in other cars and my sound deadening is still in place. I think its how much boost your running as i know mine over boosts slightly.

  • Just had a stage 1 map from fabooka on here. Went for a high torque map with launch control, left foot braking and egr delete and it is awesome. Should of done it months ago. Also got another map I ca

  • I will do that tomorrow and hopefully that fabia at the scrapyard will be the same, I should of looked what year it was but I was too busy looking at the TT next to it with red leathers in for dan lol

  • Got my boost pipe off of niceyellowvrs and fitted it last night. Had a job to do in Birmingham today and what a pleasure it was to drive! I can't believe how much power I'd lost through the boost leak

Wonder why mine is quiet :(

Wish mine done it. Lol

Mine isn't really doing it either I got it to do it once quite loud just but I was driving quite aggressively as I had road rage lol so wasn't paying attention to the revs. I think it does quietly I can hear something but I want it louder!

i think the sound deadening needs to be removed from mine :)

more noise

looking good though kyle :)

Cheers. I will take my sound deadening out and report back. Does yours chatter?

Mine is rrunning 1.55 bar peak and tails off to 1.4 up the top of the revs. Faboka mapped mine and sorted it so it doesn't over boost at all but I'd sooner it not chatter and be spot on than over boosting and chattering

Ordered this cold air feed for it. Will post pics when it arrives and it's on :)

yeh it does a bit, sounds like darth vader and then driving spiritedly its makes a woosh. I'll remove mine tomorrow and have a listen

So I sold my pd160 on ebay and finally fitted my cold air feed today. Think I should of got a slightly smaller one as its pretty big and also I didn't need the clamps but its all in and secure.

To be fair i drove it for a few days with no air feed on and couldn't tell a difference from taking the pd160 off to having no air feed whatsoever. Anyway for only £13 it looks better with one on and I'm sure it will help in the summer.

After fitting the s2000 cone it really highlited how shocking the strut brace looked in that green colour so armed with this I set about spraying the strut brace and doing the callipers.

How the strut brace looked

All painted up with a shark performance sticker added

Think I might add some red to the engine cover and put that back on but not sure yet.

Also did the callipers, didn't take any before pics but they were mostly black instead of green so a few coats of Hammerite smooth red and....

Should of washed the car first but I went to the scrapyard this morning and went through a muddy puddle which is why the front wheel is so mucky. Also reset the ecu but the windows still don't work :( the 2 fabias that were at the scrapyard didn't have drivers doors on! Will order a window motor off eBay this week. Will get a full car pic tomorrow with the red callipers.

Nice chrome bend and red silicone joiners would look lovely.

Do I need 80mm silicone joiners and chrome pipe Joe??

It looks good, I couldn't work out what wheels you've got on though? Yours would look good with hid's on. I didn't think you'd be able to see the exhaust it's that dirty lol

Theyre 15" corrado speedlines mate.

I had hid's in before. But i want proper projector lamps before i go back to them.

What sort of power are you running?

And whats your instagram? I dont think i follow you on there

I want some projectors but there's other stuff I want first.

It's getting rolling roaded on Monday but I'm hoping about 165-170bhp and around 300ft lb torque. You've just had a new turbo put on haven't you?

It's same as on here Kyle_vrs. I thought I was following you but obviously not

Yeahh last thursday i picked it back up. Its pretty awesome ahaa

Ill try and find you dude :)

Thought I should start a build thread. Not the most modified out there but it's getting there!

Bought in September 12 on 93k,it's a 2005 54 plate. Standard apart from a remap apparently but no paperwork for this although it does pull well all the way to the red line?

Anyway how I got it,a standard black vrs

Posted Image

I immediately put led sidelight and number plate bulbs in along with a hid kit. I also put chrome indicator bulbs all round in.

Had it like this for about a month and then put a back box on it

Posted Image

Was going to put a oval on (you can just see it in the pic) but looked too standard. Not really any louder at all but looks good.

Also put some lowering springs on that I got told would fit-looked good but bouncy as hell!! Intact it was dangerous it used to throw you out of the seat!

Posted Image

Left it like that for abit as I was busy with work but did fit a pipercross induction kit I had laying about with a silicone hose so it pointed into the air box. Made it a lot more free revving but sounded awful and also made it hesitate on light throttle. Back to the oem filter. I know the vacuum pipe isn't connected in this pic too.

Posted Image

Left it as it was fore a few months then I bought some jom bluelines to sort the bouncy springs. Got those fitted and it sat well and drove well.

Posted Image

Posted Image

Sold my focus st170 that I had

Posted Image

That had a k&n fitted, decat, magnex cat back with 3" tailpipe, dreamscience remap,30mm lowering springs, hid's and led's all round and of course the powder coated red wheels http://www.briskoda.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/#EMO_DIR#/emoticon-0100-smile.gif anyway I kept the k&n as the new owner said it was too loud and stuck it on the vrs.

Posted Image

Posted Image

The callipers were in a sorry state and the rear discs were *******sed.

Posted Image

Posted Image

So new discs and pads and rover java green paint and....

Posted Image

Posted Image

Brakes so much better now and looks a lot better too.

Posted Image

Also fitted some universal 5mm spacers I had laying about front and rear. Nightmare to put on with fabias not having studs!! Not a big difference but every little helps.

Posted Image

Left it like this for a few weeks and was happy with it but the wheels were annoying me as they were badly bubbled. Still looked nice but let it down abit.

Posted Image

So when I fitted some new front tyres a lot of the paint flaked off so I had no choice but to spray the wheels black to try and hide the mess.

Posted Image

Wasn't keen at all,the bubbling looked even worse with black paint on too! I want some different wheels anyway so shot blasting them was a no go as I'd sooner put the money to new wheels and its my work car so need it every day. It was also losing air on the nsr wheel due to the alloy so managed to swap them for some of these wheels (not the actual wheels, stole the pic of eBay)

Posted Image

Gave them a quick refurb as I put my tyres on as it had 55s on to see if I like them. Did them black as they were already black but flaking in places with a silver lip.

Posted Image

Posted Image

The silver lip isn't as obvious in the pics as in real life. Wasn't sure at first but I'm really liking them now. Need a proper refurb to make them look their best which I will do soon but happy with them.

Plans are black grill, maybe a rarb if I can get one cheap, possibly new wheels if I see something I really like and find out if its 100% been remapped. If it hasn't then decat and remap it.

Would like to hear any suggestions or criticisms about it and I will keep updating it.

What size is the silcone hose onto that filter?

Had my boost gauge in its holder here

20130731_182858_zps8bb837cf.jpg

Was quite happy with it there although the holder did look abit tacky. I used double sided tape to hold it there as it was awkward to get a screwdriver in there to screw it up. Anyway went to the scrappy to get a window motor but they didn't have one but ended up getting a passenger vent as mine was broken and a drivers one to have a go at putting my boost gauge in.

Put the passenger one in with my carbon wrap surround on, nice to have a working one in and not have part open and part shut.

Anyway on to the gauge holder. Didn't get a pic before I started cutting but basically take the vertical slats out and put as much no more nails around it to stick the vents shut. These need to be solidily shut or they will fall out and you won't be able to cut it and if you cut them individually you won't get them sat back in as they won't be solid pieces and it just won't work at all!! I've started to cut the hole here but you can see how I've stuck them shut. It needs 24hrs to set.

20140227_172618_zpsvuxzorwz.jpg

Anyway mark out where you want the gauge and then cut around it but slightly in so the hole is too small (not trying to sound patronising here!!) I used a cutting tool off a air compressor like a mini grinder but a dremmel might work.

Then it's just a case of using a die grinder to keep shaving bits off until the gauge goes in. The flaps are stuck solid and apart from the 2nd flap down on the left they didn't move when cutting and grinding :)

During the process of putting my carbon wrapped vent surround on and messing with the gauge the flap that came unstuck fell out and I couldn't find it so I used some gloss black wrap to cover the flaps like so.

IMG_20140228_142034_zpsbbzkbtel.jpg

Fitted it all in, just extended the silicone hose and extended the power and earth wires as mine is one of those gauges that goes completely black when off.

With the gauge off. The camera has picked it up but when you look at it you can't actually see anything.

20140228_160411_zpslbyresfm.jpg

The gauge powered up.

20140228_160417_zpsplemuqem.jpg

I wasn't overly keen on the wrap and after hours searching for the missing flap I ended up going through the bin looking for the passenger vent to rob a slat off. Finally got it and cut it down then took it all out and removed the wrap and stuck the slat in then reassembled.

Gauge off but the flash has shown up the face abit.

Gauge powered up.

20140228_183008_zpsl9uwylid.jpg

As this is a fairly bright gauge I will see how I get on with it here. If it's too bright I will fit a switch to turn the light off hidden out of sight.

When it's out it doesn't look pretty but once fitted it looks good. If the proper ones weren't over £100 I'd of bought one but I'm happy with this. The only thing I've messed up on slightly is on the bottom slat on the left I went slightly too far out. If I wasn't to point it out you'd probably never know but because I know it's there it's bugging me abit. I might do another if I get bored but for a first attempt I'd sooner have this than be £100 poorer

Love the work you've done mate. Will keep an eye on this.
