You'll find some local biodiesel person happy to pay £1 a litre locally I am sure.

My courier won't take it, maybe if your passing or know someone that will pick it up just let me know

I've no plans to be up that way - I just know the main users of methanol are biodiesel producers, so that's a possible alternative line to get rid. Not surprised couriers won't take it - it's a really nasty chemical!

I can use it for cleaning solvent (vintage bike bits), and I'm only just down the road in Chorley.

How good is it as a cleaning solvent? Never thought of using it for that. What sort of bits is it good for cleaning up?

I use ethanol or methanol as a final clean & dry after degrease and wash. It's more as a drying agent than a degreaser but I find it helps before clean assembly (bearings, gaskets etc.) and before painting.
