I paid for 3 items from mr 123VRS, a tweeter cover,indicator and a door loom. when the package arrived the tweeter cover was missing, indicator mounting bracket broken and loom had snapped wires. We agreed a partial refund and i would repair the loom. This was on the Tuesday, he said he would refund last Friday but still nothing and no replys to PM's. I paid via bank transfer(silly me) but i would like to think i can trust other forum members. Im just wondering if anyone else has had any bad/good dealings with 123VRS?

I bought the rear brakes he had for sale buddy all was well came fairly sharpish rvan over the weekend all parts there in working order as he described

Your right about the ability to trust on the forum. I bought something of near £100 value from a member recently. He posted it to me before I'd even paid then sent me the total for postage and I paid him. Now that's trust!

Shame to hear that mate, edition 38 has a lot of ****s both at the show and on the forum, but I've always had great experiences with fellow Briskoda members.

Iv been robbed of my money plenty of times on forums, so I only really purchase stuff 2nd if its near by and I can view the item.

Shame really as iv lost all faith in purchasing 2nd parts.

But if he's changed his computer, won't this change the IP address??

No, it would change his MAC address but forums like these dont usually store that. The only way would be if he wasnt on a static ip address, then it would change but it usually keeps a record of recent addresses hes logged in on.

yes similar problems paid via transfer as well brought a so called nearly new wiper motor off him and a front complete ashtray and only half the ashtray arrived and still waiting for the insert which he did say he would post and the wiper motor is date stamped 2001 and had been damaged in transit ??? the last i heard was he was going to speak to the courer THAT WAS OVER A WEEK AGO CON CON CON .

Is the IP check for 123vrs - This does not tie in to any other members who registered but does tie in with a few members who posted with similar IPs, potentially because they are on 3 mobile?? No link to occyoccyoccy though.

To update, as soon as we get a report; noting we're not a 24hr team, we'll investigate. As it happens we've seen a few incidents.

Until this is resolved all I'll comment is the member in question is suspended, pending a positive outcome for plaintifs.

To protect us, I've updated the main parts forum with some notes, basic common sense, but even then, we can drop our guard for a moment. The best policy is one of caution and to report anything as soon as you can.

Through freedom we do have a little more information than most, but for the determined it's not that higher a hurdle.

I've been looking at some alternative classified / escrow / rating systems but have not found a solution that technically trumps common sense and a gut instinct. More on this in a few days where a small trial may be released.

he emailed me pictures - name on the email address says Roland Green if it matter to anyone

he agreed my negotiated price and all seemed fine.

He pushed me for a quick sale due to them being on eBay

In the end i pulled out for financial reasons.

Lets not jump to conclusions too quickly and brand someone with poor selling/forum etiquette as a money grabbing con artist.

Unless of course we can rustle up some proof in which case you go to town.
