Just in pure curiosity what is the better engine and for what reasons why

BLT - cos it's what I have init!!

...blt is the newer engine, some say it has more bhp. Asz seems to have more choice for modification such as egr delete being nice and easy, but can cause problems on the blt engine.

In my honest opinion I think the blt is the better engine purely based on the fact it's just a newly designed asz engine. Just my opinion though.

The BLT has some flaw where you get the 'flutter' when you've been cruising on a light throttle and then squeeze harder. Something to do with the air inlets for emissions' sake or something like that. I'm not 100% sure but what I CAN tell you is that the BLT is lower CO2 and pulls like a train.

So Basically

The ASZ is the earlier Euro 3 compliant engine and does not suffer from a stutter caused by the EGR, however on rolling roads it has less power than the other. (I've seen a stock SE with 155bhp).
