Couldn't sleep at all last night with the excitement of getting the beast remapped today. Booked in at 11am :-) The best part is the PREGNANT WIFE doesn't even know ;-) whooops lol. Been told he can get it to 240 bhp with a brand new map that has just come out. Can't wait!!!

240bhp! I'd be interested to hear who's doing this map as there must be some voodoo afoot if they can get that from a simple remap. Do you have a CAI or FMIC yet?

I'm with you on the excitement thing, it's almost like buying a new car without the all the hassle. Have you tweaked anything like the arbs or suspension at all? That'll be the next thing as when you bowl into a corner with the standard setup at a much faster rate of knots you'll notice that the standard stuff has its limits.

240BHP really, if the car is standard then some magic will be involved as the standard components will simply never provide it without going bang very quickly.

Turbo back zorst, fmic, induction kit, coilovers, grooved brakes and conti tyres and some other bits. :-)

I hear conti tyres give 5-10bhp?

I agree, but don't get too caught up in peak figures, nobody can count them on the road/track.

It will be a quick car after remapping without doubt, are you going straight from standard HP? That will be awesome! Even with a modest custom map mine feels like it needs LSD at anything below the speed limit so I'm sure you'll be pleased!

Optimistic figures being mentioned buddy, (it is the torque that counts) but who cares going from std to a new map is like night and day and you will be grinning on the way back for sure.

I wos told with a stage 1 map really around 210-220bhp depending on car. Had my friends fabia vrs up getting mapped the other week. Wos 140bhp (ment to be 130) before map and wos took up to 165bhp.

I'm waiting for the verdict, surely it should be finished by now? Unless the power got the better of him lol

Hi guys really sorry not posted the verdict. They had to take off the ecu in the end as the obd port was dodgy. Took 2 n half hrs I think. Came out at 228bhp on shell fuel saver. Been told to use v power from now on. I was playing about all day Saturday and I went to BTCC on sunday hence no reply. Its an awesome machine. I went from a standard map to stage 2. Now im working away all week and going to miss it lol. The wife found out when she drove me home from a party on Saturday night. She loves it....... after saying she was going to kill me lol.

The brother in law has got a hybrid fabia vrs running around 210bhp not sure on the torque tho. Thats a machine too

Yes 228bhp on "cheap fuel" he said lol and similar torque. Going back on sat with v power nitro n ill get him to check it again as he has got to check something else anyway.

yes mate it was a stage 2 LIVE custom code map. Tweaked it on the road.
