wing mirror glass

Featured Replies

Mines been moving lots at speed so tonight I thought I'd have a better look. Turns out the sticky was gone and the glass pealed off.

Baring in mind my glass is heated, do I need a new whole bit including the plastic please?

You can buy a glass with element mounted on the backing quite cheaply on ebay, ready to press into the housing. The elements are a simple push fit spade fitting. Probably easier than resticking etc

Found this to start with and my wife will check with euro parts on Friday. Will be a pain not having one but at least its not my overtaking mirror. Will check flea bay too

Have a look at item 160919392824 on eBay.

It's a heated driver's side pre-FL, but the seller has others and had been recommended to me.

Yes I got my missus a replacement focus glass from them. It was oem quality.

Just spoke with OVI Autos and the mirror has been ordered. Pleasant enough and helpful, will report on the delivery and product when it arrives

I've replaced both my driver & passenger wing mirror glass which were supplied by OVI Autos. No problems at all and I'm really pleased with the result.

Good luck.

Next day delivery and on the car straight away, brilliant service

sorry this is a bit late but my wing mirror glass came off and i simply bonded it back on to the backing plate. the heater still works as it should , just glad to see it didnt cost you too much though.

just bought the drivers side as it had become loose and takes forever to clear in a morning which is quite dangerous when overtaking so eBay to the rescue once more

Worth doing for the cost of a new one. Happened to me this time last year and the driver's one gave up the ghost and had separated as yours did.

I re-bonded it to sort it there and then, and then ordered a fresh one :) Think it was from the same seller....

For the sake of £13 I would like to see through my wing mirror rather than it be all misted up. I don't see how others manage with broken ones or just facing into the car

Ah, but they're just average motorists - I wonder the same sort of thing! Or those incapable of effectively using their car's heating system, so they can actually see out of the windows. But anyway.....

Yeah, just adjust the mirror all the way down, then prise out with your fingers from the top
