Brilliant. Thanks for posting.

Posting a lap in a modern Silver Arrow on the most beautiful and most testing circuit in the world, what a brilliant mix – it’s every motor racing driver’s dream!”

So he's going for Lauda's record then?

Well thats the F1 type record at least but no alas it will be a demo like Hiedfeld did so probably not an official time.

It was the "posting a lap" bit that got my attention. Schumacher may want one more thing to add to his CV. "Fastest lap of the ring"

Mario Andretti has been tweeting it 2 its going amazing or a disaster

ISTR Heidfeld reporting that a modern F1 car can't get into the Karousel (and that gives me doubts about the Kleine Karousel too).

I drove around the outside of both the Karousels first time i went because they took me by surprise i didn't know they were there

and the concrete slabs that reinforce the banking are quite damaged so i avoided it. Second time round i went in them

but to be honest because its such a big track and thats such a small portion i don't think it will make much difference to the time

i still think it will easily smash the old record. My Guess is around 6mins dead. (I did it in 10 mins) as a comparison. :-)
