TPS Nottingham always serves me - depends on the manager I think but 'a sale is a sale'!

From memory they will run a trade cash account with a bit of discount on and just put it through on that. It's for the likes of taxi drivers and small independents who don't warrant a proper account.

My HGV-driver son had no problems buying bits for me when he walked in wearing his working uniform (DHL) and was given a discount too.

I've bought from them before but found Skoda gives me better discounts

TPS in theory will get a better discount with a "company" which has more buying power. Therefore you might expect the Skoda dealer to be able to buy an item from TPS at a much better price than you can achieve by walking in off the street as Joe Bloggs. However then the Skoda dealer is likely to hike the price up so they can make some easy money :-(

True but if I buy it from Skoda and it's cheaper than I could get it from TPS then there isn't a problem

When I ring they tell me they don't sell to the public.

So went down there and asked them for a price of a Coolant Temp Sender, and they wanted £40 plus for it. No questions asked apart from the registration plate
